Um voo da Latam Airlines que partia de Teresina com destino ao Aeroporto Internacional de Brasília – Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek precisou retornar ao ponto de origem após colisão com um pássaro — incidente conhecido como bird strike. O caso ocorreu na manhã de domingo, gerando preocupação entre os passageiros, mas sem feridos.
A decolagem ocorreu por volta das 5h05 no Aeroporto Senador Petrônio Portella, em Teresina. Quase uma hora após o início da viagem, a aeronave teve que retornar devido ao impacto com uma ave. Segundo a companhia, o avião aterrissou em segurança e não houve feridos.
Em nota, a Latam Airlines informou que o avião foi encaminhado à manutenção, e os passageiros realocados para voos posteriores. “Lamentamos os transtornos causados, mas reforçamos que o ocorrido foi alheio ao nosso controle”, afirmou.
O funcionamento do aeroporto não foi afetado pelo incidente, mantendo operações normais, sem atrasos ou interrupções nos demais voos do dia.
