No sábado, 24 de maio de 2025, um voo da Delta Air Lines com destino a Madison, no Wisconsin, foi atrasado em 56 minutos após dois pombos entrarem na cabine de um Airbus A320 no Aeroporto Internacional de Minneapolis–Saint Paul (MSP). Passageiros captaram o momento em vídeo e partilharam nas redes sociais, onde o incidente se tornou viral.
O primeiro pombo foi detectado ainda com o avião estacionado no portão de embarque. Técnicos de pista conseguiram retirá-lo, enquanto os passageiros aplaudiam. O segundo pombo só apareceu mais tarde, já com a aeronave a circular na pista para descolagem, obrigando a tripulação a regressar ao portão.
