Segundo denúncias recolhidas pela TORRE.News, passageiros são informados no check-in de que suas bagagens não poderão seguir no mesmo voo devido à “lotação”. No entanto, testemunhas observam, na pista, o embarque de mercadorias sem restrições, levantando suspeitas de que a companhia esteja priorizando cargas pagas em detrimento das malas dos clientes.
No voo TM 156, de Maputo para Nampula no dia 2 de março, passageiros que chegaram cedo ao Aeroporto de Mavalane foram informados de que suas malas só chegariam ao destino no dia seguinte. No entanto, aqueles que aceitaram pagar valores adicionais conseguiram garantir que suas bagagens fossem incluídas no porão da aeronave.
Situação semelhante ocorreu no voo TM 131, de Tete para Maputo, onde passageiros precisaram pressionar funcionários da companhia para evitar que suas malas ficassem retidas.
