
As bancadas parlamentares da Renamo e do Podemos solicitaram formalmente a criação de uma comissão parlamentar de inquérito para investigar as contas, a gestão e as operações das Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM), alegando que a companhia de bandeira se encontra à beira do colapso financeiro.
A iniciativa surge após a Renamo ter apresentado, na quinta-feira, uma moção de reprovação às respostas dadas pelo Governo de Moçambique durante as sessões parlamentares dos dias 13 e 14. Segundo o partido, as explicações apresentadas foram vazias e insuficientes, não oferecendo garantias concretas sobre o futuro da empresa estatal.
De acordo com a relatora da Renamo, Glória Salvador, o Governo não conseguiu convencer os cidadãos de que haverá reforço da frota, nem assegurou a redução do preço dos bilhetes para níveis comparáveis aos praticados por companhias da região, como a South African Airways ou a TAAG Angola Airlines.
Outro ponto crítico levantado foi a alegada má gestão associada ao transporte gratuito de membros ligados à elite governativa, situação que, segundo a oposição, contribui para o agravamento das contas da empresa.
O deputado Juliano Picardo afirmou que a moção tinha como objetivo proteger os consumidores e salvaguardar os recursos públicos injetados na LAM, defendendo a necessidade de investigar corrupção, desvio de fundos públicos e contratos ruinosos.
A proposta contou ainda com o apoio das bancadas do Podemos e do MDM, que criticaram práticas como mão-de-obra excessiva, contratos pouco transparentes com fornecedores e aluguer de aeronaves sem critérios claros.
Apesar da pressão da oposição, a moção de reprovação foi chumbada pela bancada da Frelimo, que detém a maioria parlamentar. O deputado Suleiman Fonseka justificou a decisão alegando que a fundamentação da proposta era insuficiente e subjetiva, defendendo que o Governo cumpriu o seu dever constitucional de prestar esclarecimentos.
Segundo a Frelimo, não foram apresentados factos objetivos que comprovassem omissão, recusa ilegítima de informação ou prestação deliberada de dados falsos por parte do Executivo.
