A EuroAtlantic Airways (EAA) anunciou, em 27 de fevereiro de 2025, a rescisão imediata do contrato com as Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (LAM) devido ao incumprimento no pagamento de dívidas financeiras substanciais. Estas dívidas estão relacionadas com a operação da rota entre Maputo e Lisboa, iniciada em dezembro de 2023. A rota Maputo-Lisboa, retomada em dezembro de 2023 após quase 12 anos de interrupção, faz parte do plano de revitalização da LAM. No entanto, a 19 de fevereiro de 2025, a LAM anunciou uma suspensão imediata desta rota devido a elevados prejuízos acumulados, que ultrapassaram os 21 milhões de dólares desde o seu reinício. A empresa destacou que a operação de Lisboa foi mantida com recursos provenientes do mercado doméstico, tornando-se insustentável.
